One of the things I miss most about living in Scotland is the beautiful architecture.  So I was thrilled when this 1912 federation home project came about! The brief was to give the existing formal dining and sitting rooms some much needed love, taking care to retain precious original features whilst injecting some modern touches. Gone is the old carpet and beige paint finishes, replaced by slick dark stained timber floors and a silvery grey colour palette. Much time and effort was put into re-upholstering and repairing the existing dining and armchairs, giving them a new lease of life with vibrant fabric selections. The existing fireplace was redecorated, new feature lighting introduced as well as gorgeous new curtains to finish both spaces.  I think you'd have to agree the end result oozes charm and sophistication!
